Dr. Wilneff performs both manual and laser-assisted cataract surgery and offers a full range of modern intraocular lens options, including premium lens technology. Whether a patient hopes to reduce their dependence on glasses or restore vision that has been diminished by cataracts, he works closely with each patient to recommend the approach that best fits their eyes, lifestyle, and visual priorities. Dr. Wilneff brings more than three years of surgical experience to his cataract and glaucoma patients.
Dr. Wilneff completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where he served as Chief Resident. He trained in a rigorous academic program that cared for one of the most diverse and medically complex patient populations in New York City, with patients often presenting with advanced disease and limited access to care. This experience continues to shape his approach to patient care, emphasizing careful preparation, attention to detail, and thoughtful decision-making for every patient.
Dr. Wilneff believes the best treatment decisions come from a partnership between physician and patient. He takes the time to understand each patient's goals and concerns, offers thoughtful recommendations, and helps patients feel confident in choosing the treatment plan that best fits their needs.
